Pedram PourghaziSpecialty: Violin/ Viola
Background/Experience: Pedram started playing the violinat age 7. He has earned both his Bachelor’s and Mastersdegree in Music Performance. Playing for over 25 years, he has a lot of performing and teaching experience.Currently, he is the second violin principal assistant in Santa Monica SymphonyOrchestra and First Violin player in San Fernando Valley Symphony Orchestra.During his thirteen years of teaching music, many of Pedram’s students havesuccessfully passed auditions for music colleges and universities. Attendingvarious conferences, seminars, and training,he has been incorporating different pedagogical methods into his teaching.
He is a registered Suzuki Violin and Viola teacher and has successfully completed:
- Suzuki Teacher Training program in Northern California Suzuki Institute (NCSI) and Los Angeles Suzuki Institute (LASI)
- Coursework associated with “Paul Rolland String Pedagogy Conference” at Arizona State University (ASU)
- Teaching the Violin and Viola: Creating a Healthy Foundation; an online course offered by the Northwestern University
- Music Education Coursework at CSUN Teaching Credential program.
